	Dual / Quad Modem
		The Westronic Dual/Quad Modem is a single rack space enclosure that may be equipped with one or two 202T Eurocard-style dual modems. Created specifically for central office telecommunications applications, the unit’s simple, low maintenance design ensures trouble free operation Westronic modems are unique in that they can provide an RS-422 or RS-485 interface, as well as RS-232/RS-423. One common application is to use a dual modem shelf in a site requiring more than one E2A address. With one modem providing an RS-485 interface, several WS2000 or WS3000 E-Telemetry systems can be connected to one analog facility. This arrangement avoids problem prone analog bridges or multiple circuits to the site.

Available in Dual or Quad modem configurations.

User-selectable digital interfaces configurable for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485.

The RS-485 multi-point option permits a single remote telemetry unit or collection port to connect up to 32 modems.

1200 bps normal operation.

RATE ADAPTION option allows the modem to transport 2400 bps TBOS data via the 1200 bps modem.

A Westronic Dual/Quad Modem can connect several telemetry devices to one analog facility at a remote site.

The clock recovery option allows the modem to transport synchronous telemetry protocols over asynchronous order wire or other similar facilities.
